SON IAN (NELL) MAK
Nell graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2011 with flying colors (B. Optom). He has served in the northern part of Tasmania where he gained extensive experience in ocular pathology. He has also been serving the eastern and north eastern communities in Melbourne for well over 12 years where he sees regular returning patients. Nell’s knowledge, skills and passion for optometry have led him to provide the most comprehensive, patient-oriented eye exams that results in best outcomes for your vision and eyes.
Being a father of 2 children, Nell always puts children’s well-being as his first priority and has special interests in children’s myopia control. He obtained the Advanced Certificate in Children’s Vision from Australian College of Optometry (ACO- ACCV) in 2019 and is very experienced in performing eye tests for children. Myopia control methods he offers include: fitting orthokeratology lenses (Ortho-K ) and myopia management soft contact lenses (MiSight) and myopia control spectacles. Nell is also therapeutically endorsed to prescribe scheduled medicines for the treatment of eye conditions and diseases.
Nell is conversant in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
